Emergency power supply agreement between ESO and Transelectrica


The transmission system operators of Bulgaria and Romania signed an agreement on emergency power supply, which guarantees the security of the countries’ energy systems in case of accidents. The emergency aid will be provided by real-time reserves, which will not affect their energy systems. The document stipulates also that emergency assistance must be provided within one hour of requesting it.

The agreement, which was signed during the fourth meeting of the cooperation council between Bulgaria and Romania enters into force on the day of its signature and will be valid till 31 December 2018.
