Prices of heat and electricity from high-efficiency cogeneration from 1st October
The Bulgarian Regulator has published the new prices of energy generated in high-efficiency cogeneration power plants in connection with the change in gas prices from October 1st, 2018.
In line with EWRC’s decision, the price of heating services for consumers in Sofia increases by 7,97%, in Plodviv – by 8,57%, in Pleven – by 4,66%, in Burgas – by 4,88%, in Varna – by 2,28%, in Veliko Tarnovo – 4,39%, in Vratsa – by 6,32%, in Razgrad – by 5,35%. For customers in Ruse, Pernik, Sliven and Gabrovo, the current prices remain the same due to the use of coal and not of natural gas.
The electricity prices do not change. After an analysis, EWRC takes into account the availability of additional funds, collected by the Electricity System Security Fund, which maintains the public service obligation price at its present level.
