Renewed license for the exploitation of the Fifth Unit of Kozloduy NPP
The new 10-year license for the exploitation of Unit 5 of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant enters into force today. The ten-year extension is the maximum term provided by the law, although the Nuclear Regulatory Agency considers that the unit can operate safely by 2047. Next year, the plant's management must apply to NRA for the extension of the license of the Sixth Unit.
