Two key public procurement procedures for the Gas Interconnection Greece-Bulgaria have been finalized


The company ICGB AD that implements Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria project successfully finalized two more public procurement procedures.

Both have been conducted as restricted procedures in two phases - preliminary selection and submission of offers.

The first of them was for line pipes manufacture and supply and three candidates were admitted for participation in the second phase - Erciyas Celik Boru Sanayi A.S., Toplivo -2 EOOD and Corinth Pipeworks Industry S.A. The offer of Corinth Pipeworks Industry S.A. got the highest score as it fully complied with the technical specification, including demonstration of advantages that significantly enhance the minimum requirements of the Contracting Entity.

The line pipe supply procedure is one of the two most important public procurements that secure the start of the construction of the Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnector. The contract will be executed for a period of twelve months, as the first deliveries will be realized within four months of starting the contract. The supply is for the whole route of the pipeline. The contract value is EUR 58 229 759,16, which represents the total fixed price of the supply.

The second public procurement was for design, procurement and construction of the interconnector. The participant that covered best the technical and financial requirements and was designated as a contractor, was J&P AVAX S.A., which received final score of 83,8 points of maximum 100 and offered a price of EUR 144 850 000. The contract will be executed in 18 months after the start of the construction activities.
