| [17.01.2012] The Bulgarian Parliament has decided to ban the exploration and production of shale gas through a flacking method. The decision of the Parliament has been grounded by human health and environment concerns. | [05.01.2012] Mr. Traycho Traykov, Minister of Economy, Energy, and Tourism, announced before the Bulgarian National Television that construction of a new 7th nuclear block in Kozloduy NPP will commence during the mandate of the current Government. According to Mr. Traykov, compared to Belene, Kozloduy is a cheaper and more sensible location for additional nuclear capacities. |
